Overall, it was a positive experience. There were two things that kept me from giving 5 stars. First, the decision we had to make between an FHA and conventional loan was not given enough time. So when I had questions about these, they were brushed aside and I felt I needed to make and live with my decision, no matter what. Second, I needed to remind the team that I was closing in 20 minutes and then they finally called me to ‘get ready’ for the closing. Hope this helps.

We had seen reviews saying this could take months to refinance out mortgage. Well, that was not our experience at all. We closed on a VA loan in just over a month from when we applied! Highly recommend Meridian! We did a refi through them and their team is wonderful to work with. They explain every step of the process, keep you informed all throughout, and were always available to address questions and concerns. And despite a few obstacles pertaining to my property, they closed us earlier than expected! Great team!

In a way, I can’t help but wonder if someone from Meridian isn’t going to email me and say, “We’re sorry, but…” I say that because of how easy the entire refi process was with them. I’ve financed & refinanced homes for over 30 years and have never had as smooth a process with it as we did with Meridian. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Their process is unique, but it obviously works! And everyone you deal with at every stage is extremely nice.

Although during the course of our refinance we experienced some unexpected potential barriers, the team that was assigned to our application were extremely professional, courteous and respectful; was in constant communication and were available on the phone; thoroughly explained everything and presented alternatives; and observed our need of time and space, never pushing themselves upon us. If the team that took care of us is truly a representation of the whole company I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Everything about this mortgage re-financing was excellent. Justine, Jennifer and Shane were all very professional, responded quickly to my questions and made it very easy.

Went in knowing this process always slows down in underwriting. That being said, constant communication was done, although be prepared to deal with multiple people along the way. Closed within 50 days from initial website login. Keep in mind I was prepared with my 2 years of documents and was quick to respond and submit through their online portal and requested info. Closing terms were in line with initial estimates. Would recommend them to friends or family if asked. Don’t be afraid to email them to touch base as they will respond although i also did voice mails.

Excellent communication throughout the entire process. Great job! The whole team worked together smoothly, though the process was long, it was well worth the wait. They were able to efficiently find a way to overcome every hurdle to make sure this loan closed. It was a rough journey navigating the FHA and personal credit issues, but they made it happen and I am now financially in a much better position as a result of all their hard work. The refi process took a lot longer than it should have. There were too many departments to deal with and they did not coordinate, which caused me to duplicate sending in forms that I had already sent. Mistakes were made by Meridian communicating with the VA which caused other delays. Also, they neglected to tell me that a payoff to one of my credit cards would be in the form of a paper check sent to me which I then had to send to the credit card company, causing a monthly payment to be late which could effect my credit score. That being said, the people I dealt with were friendly and courteous and the interest rate given was satisfactory. I would recommend this company to others.

We got a flyer in the mail and decided to give Meridian a chance, as we had never refinanced our home before. The process took about 2.5 months because we had to do extra inspections for our FHA loan. James Peterson and his team were very patient with us. Everyone worked together to get us to the closing and funding of our loan. For the most part everyone was easy to work with. We would definitely use Meridian again.

Very professional and stress free !

Although a bit long, the process was completed on the 6th of June. It was frustrating at times, but I realize that Shane Smith was just working through the required documentation requested from the Underwriters. Shane handled my frustrations well, and helped to smooth over the rough spots calmly and in an efficient manner. Shane explained that he wanted everything in order so that when filed with the Underwriter there wouldn’t be any issues. Unfortunately, the Underwriter kept asking more more documents and I think even Shane was frustrated by that. All in all, the refinance went well. Sadly, this will most likely be the last refinance of this home, but if the need should arise again, I’ll definitely be coming back to Meridian for service. Shane deserves a pat on the back for his deligence and customer service, he’s an asset to your teams, and to your company overall. Thank You.

This was the easiest refinance we have ever done. We mostly dealt with David and Zach. They were friendly and quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. The whole process from start to finish was very smooth and handled professionally.

There’s always going to be those that get the unfortunate off beat or expect too much. Anywho, this company is fantastic!!!!!
